In April of this year, on Amazon, we read an intriguing review of Shipton and Tilman. Written by Mr. Bob Comlay, 27/04/2014, it seemed he had first-hand knowledge of one of the subjects of the book, and he was by no means complimentary to the author. Therefore it was hardly a surprise — when one considers his scorpion’s sting — that ‘Llywarch’ countered with an attack in support of his hero, Jim Perrin (we of course believe ‘Llywarch’ is Jim Perrin!): the posting of this poisonous comment was evidently an attempt to devalue and even to invalidate Mr. Comlay’s review. We notice that, in the interests of completeness and accuracy, someone has amended Jim Perrin’s Wikipedia entry to (re-)record that he has six children by six partners, also that he resides in Gwynedd, North Wales. We understand he still has his French ‘holiday-home’.

Those readers who followed our recent thoughts as to the near-certainty of author, Jim Perrin, using as his latest pseudonym ‘DrudwyBranwen’ may be interested to read the comment which he posted after Paul Evans’ latest, and really very good entry in the Guardian Country Diary, 29/7/2014. His, Jim Perrin’s, continuing effrontery is extraordinary; then again we believe that he believes he is invincible…
