Jim Perrin’s ‘last roll of the dice’?

The lies Jim Perrin wrote about our sister are many and ‘imaginative’; those concerning her financial circumstances, told to imply his own ‘nobility’, are just some among all the other false-hoods (and we have proved them to be so) to which we have taken, on her behalf, the gravest exception.  The emphases in the extracts are ours:

Page 200.    ‘Jac had come to me exhausted, drained, depressed and filled with forebodings… Look away as we might we know when the grave illnesses are taking hold, are growing inside us…. the crab nips before it wrenches and tears…  In [our] brief season [May 1st until ‘Autumn coming’] SHE HAD BEEN RELIEVED OF DIFFICULTIES SHE’D BEEN FACING, but her injury and the constant pain of it had taken their toll.’ Continue reading

Is Jim Perrin ‘Melangell’?

We wonder if we are the only ones who suspect Jim Perrin to be using aliases, (ref. our previous posts), and of planting spurious comments on the internet under the security-blanket of anonymity: and, of course, we do have proof that he wrote a wicked ‘anonymous’ letter back in 2005 (ref. our post Jim Perrin Writes an Anonymous Letter). As he was so dishonest in writing that letter we feel there is the strongest possibility that he might have written others.

One of our many contacts has just informed us that there is a long thread on The Guardian. The ‘Melangell’ entries show many of the usual ‘trade-marks’ of the author, Jim Perrin and it is our view that he is posing as a woman — ‘Melangell’ — with an opinion on everything and a comment on everybody and, unless fulsomely praising those whom he wishes — by flattery — to hold close to him and others whom he hopes to impress, writes in a style which is markedly egotistical, ‘know it all’, and frequently downright unpleasant. At least two of these comments were deleted by the moderator. Continue reading

Jacssisters’ complaint to Amazon

Thank you for your response to our email.

We have read your comments, also your guidelines, and we feel that the following points could usefully be brought to your attention.

We had no idea, when we first read an article in The Times, 13/07/2010, written by the author Jim Perrin about his forthcoming book West, that the book was to be published.

But we did read, only weeks after our sister’s death in May 2005, an article he wrote in the The Observer, in which he claimed our sister was his ‘Lover, wife and friend of forty years’, that he was with her when she died, and other inaccurate details.

Knowing these erroneous ‘facts’ to be entirely different from the truth we contacted Roger Alton who was then the editor to ask that we might print a — simple — rebuttal.

We had only asked him for the opportunity to refute the author’s untruthful claims.  He replied that he ‘knew Jim well’, and he would not accommodate us. As we were then unaware of the scope of the internet we didn’t realise the possibility that we could use it, and we took Roger Alton’s dismissal as inevitable, knowing of no other recourse.
