Jim Perrin’s fiefdom ?

We were at first intrigued by the spite with which ‘Melangell’ wrote of us in comments on the Guardian thread, 24/07/10, then amused by what were clearly spurious postings on other sites; finally, bored with the nonsense which was issued at every opportunity — and which we suspected to be devised entirely by Jim Perrin, using that name as an alias — we set up this site.

It is said that ‘All publicity is good publicity’ and perhaps we should have left the matter, rather than undertaking this journey in which all sign-posts point ‘West:’ but our natural wish was for the truth about our late sister’s ill-fated relationship with this author to be made known and we realised that as Jac’s sisters, we were best placed for the task.

If we do not speak, Jim Perrin’s provable lies and deceptions — his attitudinising — would go on indefinitely and this knowledge led us to overcome our reluctance and to set out on our venture: from technophobes we became twenty-first century bloggers. Continue reading

Overheard at the funeral by ‘Melangell’ (JP?)

There was one particularly disgraceful comment posted by ‘Melangell’ in The Guardian, 24/07/2010 — which we feel needs a detailed response. Firstly may we make it clear that we believe the comment to be complete fabrication, as well as all the others by ‘Melangell’ on that thread, and was in our opinion written by Jim Perrin in an attempt to discredit us in the minds of the readers. Ref. our post A question of Identity.

This is the comment:

‘I lost any respect I had for your family when I overheard one of you, actually at the funeral, mocking a distraught Jim, for having spent everything he had on Jacquetta in her last couple of years. Some humanity there!’

This is our explanation:

It is hardly believable that he should do so but shortly after our sister’s death, even before her funeral, Jim Perrin untruthfully told her children that it had been Jac’s ‘dying wish’ that he should take on the tenancy of their home. He explained that of course they would be most welcome to stay there… But then he added that ‘there would have to be changes around here; a régime change’ — these were the exact words he used.

In poor taste

blog11A few readers of our site seem to ‘disapprove’: they feel that we are being unfair, and unkind to poor Jim Perrin…  and as they are unable to respond to us directly they have posted their comments on other sites. This particular group — the majority of whom we believe to be Jim Perrin in ‘chameleon’ guise ref. A question of identity? — can have no knowledge of our sister’s life and, as ‘the dead have no right of reply’, we are as resolved as ever to correct whenever possible all the untruthful things Jim Perrin has written about his short relationship with her.   Continue reading
